How do you begin writing? Do you start with an emotion or with a visual picture?
Klaus: I begin by being aware of life’s acute frustration, lack of civility, and humanity.
Are there particular poets who inspire your writing style?
Klaus: Not contemporary “attempts” but Clive James has much to teach, Leonard Cohen for other reasons.
Why was poetry the right form for the message you wanted to convey?
Klaus: General lack of connection in public places and English language is being shredded.
How do you deal with writer’s block when the words will not come?
Klaus: Long walks in nature help.
How do you choose in order to present your poetry collection? Is it thematically based or in chronological order of writing?
Klaus: Random, trust your helpers!
