Authors, selling your book just got easier
by Elise Shaw

With Share and Sell by IngramSpark, authors can directly sell to readers via a HTML embedded tag (for your own website), URL link, or QR code (think social media sales from sharing or adding the link to your bio or posting the QR code.
You can also add the QR code to business cards, brochures, bookmarks, banners, and it is all generated very simply through your IngramSpark account.
For authors, this is fabulous news, as you bypass retailers and sell direct to readers. The buyer puts in a postal address, IngramSpark processes the financial transaction, triggering our nearest facility to print and ship the book and the sale will appear in the ecommerce tab in your account. The 90-day publisher compensation cycle will remain (to allow for any claims to process).
More exciting news is that you can sell direct now in Australia, USA, and UK through the same method, triggering our AU, UK or one of our USA facilities to print and ship. Ingram will be adding other countries to follow in 2027.

Ben Hughes, Head of IngramSpark UK, was in Sydney recently and told Hembury Books founder Jessica Mudditt: “We’re really pleased to be here in Australia, supporting Australian authors. I’m really excited to announce we have launched Share and Sell for Australian based accounts.”
“It’s a fantastic new e-commerce tool for authors to reach readers directly, earn money and sell more books. It’s fantastic to be working with lots of authors and making their digital publishing even more of a success,” Ben said.
